Inspired by a love for candles and a commitment to sustainability, Maame Sarpong founded Purscents to create luxurious, nature-inspired home fragrances that enhance the home and wellbeing, all with the planet in mind. Guided by a desire to reduce waste and make sustainable choices. Growing up in Ghana, Maame witnessed the impact of environmental issues like deforestation and plastic waste pollution. These experiences shaped her commitment to inspiring change, promoting sustainability and ethical values. We’re not perfect, far from it actually. But we’re genuine in what we aim to do. We want to be recognised for our actions, not just our talk that is why: 1. We are thoughtful about our ingredients - Our candles are made with rapeseed and coconut wax, and our reed diffusers, with vegetable glycerin from renewable sources. Plus we only use 100% essential oils and plant extracts for scents because we believe in giving you the best quality. 2. We are thoughtful about waste. 3. We are thoughtful about our processes. 4.
