Burt Murphy is currently working for the Arribas Brothers Company as a full-time Glass blowing artist at Disney World. He now has almost 40 years of experience as a glass artist. He started when he was 8 years old by watching and learning from his Dad Ron Murphy who is an astonishingly talented artist and is considered to be Burt's Master teacher and best friend. Burt started making figurines out of borosilicate glass when he was only 12 years old and had his line of work to sell at the age of 16 in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with the patient guidance of his father. Burt has always been mesmerized by watching and learning from the talent of other glassblowers creating new and unique techniques, knowing that the heat could be dangerous but somehow the glass artist can still perform beautiful artwork with the tools that he has without causing any harm.Read their story
