KHARMARI is a creative studio specializing in handcrafted jewelry imbued with distant histories. Based between France and Nepal, Kharmari jewelry asserts itself and contains an aesthetic inspired by earlier eras. Kharmari jewelry is made in close collaboration with jeweler artisans from Lalitpur, Nepal, known for its rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship. Drawing on the artisanal traditions of the past, Kharmari jewelry tells stories that echo the delicate recollection of imagined distant times, when jewelry was worn as everyday adornment. Kharmari pieces, gold-plated, set with semi-precious stones or made from glass beads, are part of a body of work in motion that reinvents and enriches itself with each collection against the backdrop of its past history. Since 2011, from prototypes to production, each piece is made from the sketches and inspirations of Marie Da Cruz, Kharmari's designer. They are then assembled by Marie in her workshop in the Lyon region.Read their story
