My name is Julie Grenon-Morin and I am an artist, author and teacher. My doctorate in literary studies guided me through unexpected paths: the visual arts. Once a bookworm, passionate cellist and (almost) fearless traveller, I am now a painter-illustrator and a jack-of-all-trades author. I live in Montreal with my partner and I work with my two cats who purr very close to me. My creative activities attach me to the here and now. My ecofeminist approach is guided by intuition, both in my figurative and abstract works. My favorite subjects are flowers, cats, and female and historical figures. Many of my works could be described as “naive figurative.” I use canvas and paper, my preference being for the famous St-Armand paper, produced in Montreal. Acrylic, oil, collage, watercolor, watercolor, gouache, digital and inks are part of my daily and regenerative artistic practice. Read their story
