As a mother, Patrice struggled to find gentle, non-toxic skincare products for her son, Bron, who has extremely sensitive skin. Store shelves were full—but none were made with children like him in mind. Products were either too harsh, filled with unnecessary chemicals, or not designed for young, melanated skin at all. What started as a personal challenge quickly revealed a much larger gap in the market. Rather than accept what wasn’t working, Patrice and Bron decided to create what didn’t exist. Together, as a mother-and-son founding team, they launched MelanBrand Skin—an intentional skincare brand created specifically for kids, preteens, and teens with sensitive, melanated skin. From day one, the mission has been clear: to provide clean, dermatologist-approved, cruelty-free, vegan skincare that nurtures confidence, healthy habits, and self-love from an early age.
