We make and sell traditional balsa wood and tissue model aircraft kits that really fly. There are over 20 models in the range from easy to build sports fliers ideal for young teenagers through to detailed scale models for those with more patience. The kits are rubber band powered and so do not require batteries to fly. Each kit includes glue and everything needed to build the model apart from basic hand tools like a craft knife, pins, scissors, etc. The finished models have wingspans between 16" and 24". Based in the Derbyshire Peak District National Park, we have been manufacturing kits from our workshop for 14 years. The balsa wood we use is imported from sustainable plantations where these fast growing trees are managed and we have removed all single use internal plastic packaging and replaced it with cardboard and paper.
