About Global Harvest

The production or development of a “British Made Set Fruit Membrillo” all started in David’s kitchen at home in 2010 when a small Quince tree produced a reasonable amount of fruit. A recipe was developed and the end result was a tasty Quince Jelly. As his small Quince tree had recently been harvested the future of Quince Set Fruit Membrillo production looked bleak, so a telephone call one of the UK’s biggest stockists & producers of natural fruits & purees put pay to that issue. The next production run took place at his wife’s restaurant & commercial kitchen; this meant that local chefs could easily obtain a British Made Quince Set Fruit Membrillo. As demand increased David took the decision to outsource production & rented a small office (a converted milking parlour in the British countryside) November 2012, saw a Capital investment & a new Co-Director (Stuart). This investment allowed David to acquire a 1000sq ft purpose built industrial unit. After 4 weeks of building a production and development kitchen Global Harvest began manufacture of their product range. This has ensured that the company can control the quality & volume of our handmade Set Fruit Membrillo. Consequently, the demand over the past year has increased to almost 3 tonnes per month, which is remarkable. So we once again outsourced our production to even bigger premises.
