About Greene Sun Art I believe art should reflect life—honest, intimate, and rooted in what we see and feel every day. For me, that connection is best captured through pencil. There’s a quiet strength in close color blends and soft focus that draws the eye inward. It invites stillness and honors the natural world. Florals and birds are where I find my rhythm. Both offer endless variation in texture, movement, and light. As a native of Boulder, Colorado, I’ve always been surrounded by nature’s rhythm—shifting seasons, wildflowers, and winged visitors. That influence shows in every piece I create. Each artwork is a tribute to the landscape that raised me. My journey began at home, watching my father—untrained but focused—draw with only pencil and paper. That spark grew in middle school under Mr. Snow, a teacher who taught me to truly see. At the University of Colorado Art School, I gained the discipline and skills to pursue art fully. Over the years, I’ve explored many mediums—gouache, acrylics, pen and ink—but colored pencil is where I’ve found home. It’s expressive, nuanced, and grounding. My pieces may be small, but they carry depth and clarity. Every line matters. Every shade says something. This is how I see the world—and how I hope others can see it too.
