About Pixel & Bloom

Hello! Pixel & Bloom is a Paper Goods and Homewares company designing and illustrating modern and fun things to send to people or keep in the home. In 2016 I created a Christening invitation for my daughter. I wanted something floral but the market was saturated with painterly watercolours and I wanted something less fussy, fresher and different. I created a clean floral design that still had warmth and an illustrative and layered feel to it. The design was quite minimalist which meant I could play with interesting and unexpected palette combinations. I designed a set of thank you cards soon after the invitations and then a friend asked if she could buy a set from me. My first designs were sold! And then I got the bug. I wanted to design and sell more designs. I opened up an Etsy shop soon after. I am based in West Sussex, in the UK and designs are often inspired by the landscape and nature that surrounds the studio but is mainly inspired by my family - which is how it all started! Work is created by hand with pens and pencils and then moved into a digital format where pattern layouts and colour swatches are put together.Read their story
