Stardust Malas exist because I could not find the perfect mala when I wanted to buy one. For me, a mala should be beautiful, meaningful and authentic. Stardust Malas are just that; designed to be beautiful & healing and handmade according to tradition from quality materials in India. It is important to me - especially as the malas are to be used for meditation - that the stones, beads and seeds are sourced in India because they have to be genuine and have provenance, respectful of religion and tradition. The gemstones are naturally occurring, cut mainly by hand not machine. Nothing is cheaply sourced or mass produced and each piece is assembled by the hand of skilled, traditional mala makers. These age old industries are inherent to India's religious and cultural heritage, something to be preserved with reverence.
