Sam’s Garlic Shack is a small-batch hot sauce company proudly based in Columbia, South Carolina. What started as a backyard experiment quickly turned into something bigger after founder Sam planted more ghost and Carolina reaper peppers than he knew what to do with. Rather than let them go to waste, he began crafting hot sauces—refining batches, learning techniques, and chasing bold, balanced flavor. In 2022, that experimentation led to the creation of Terminado, a sauce that quickly gained a following after friends started sharing it and demand grew beyond the kitchen. Sam officially formed Sam’s Garlic Shack in 2023, spending the following year earning the certifications and licenses required to produce hot sauce commercially. The brand made its public debut in 2024 at Columbia’s iconic Soda City Market, where it has continued to grow a loyal customer base and recently celebrated its one-year milestone.
