The story of Black and White and Red All Over is a story of one man and three colors. It began when a former store owner and stationery buyer found himself on the lookout for more cards that expressed good manners but winked behind their back a little at the same time. It began as a single card, nervously placed out among the “real” cards. It began as a small panic attack when someone quickly plucked that card off the wall and came to the counter to pay. And then it really began when that store owner’s partner and wife, truly the smart one, said, “That’s great so now why don’t you make some more? And just use those three colors for all of them.
