About Nelson's Candies

Nelson’s Candy was founded Circa 1914 by Allen Mack Nelson and his wife in Lowell Massachusetts. The Nelson's passed down their recipes and values to their children and they continued the traditions over the generations at various locations throughout New England. Their Grandson, Doug Nelson, continued the family tradition here in Wilton, NH. Doug is no longer with us, but his legacy continues through the staff that he hand picked and trained. Today, over 100-years later – we still use the same tried and true recipes from 1914 (and even a Circa 1914 Taffy puller/wrapper) and over the decades new recipes added to our repertoire. Nelsons Candies of Wilton NH is proud to continue the tradition of being a boutique candy company still making their candies by hand using copper kettles over an open flame. Our focus is on quality, providing a fair price, with the end goal of putting smiles on faces.
