About Naturaz

I’m Mumbi Dunjwa founder of Naturaz, chemist and formulator of Naturaz hair care products. Hair and scalp care have been my passion for many years. This stemmed especially from the unnecessary thinning and hair loss that I observed growing due to poor hair grooming practices that included the use or harsh & toxic chemicals, high heat, tight braids and hair extensions. I observed women’s self-esteem eroded due to hair and scalp damage. My research also showed that many beauty products in the market contain chemicals that can be toxic to the nervous system, reproductive system, disrupt the hormone estrogen etc. Because our skin absorbs a majority of what we put on it, it is imperative to ensure that what we put on our scalp and skin, is healthy for us. I sought to find a solution that put my health at the forefront and that would meet my hair and scalp care needs as well as those of other women and children. Using my chemistry background as well as extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, I created the Moisture Burst System, to get to the root cause of dryness in curly hair and deliver a no guess work, moisture rich bundle and hair care sequence, tested and recommended for specific curl types. Contributing to the achievement of both health and beauty for women is a major goal for us at Naturaz, and we see ourselves among trail blazers in the clean beauty industry because clean beauty will contribute to a healthier global population.
